The much-publicized West African Teachers Conference (WATC) ended successfully last Monday, the 16th. of August at the GNAT Teachers Center in Accra, Ghana. In all there were about 120 participants in attendance that included presenters from Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia and Benin. 

The conference, which was a joint collaboration between NAF and Teachers Without Borders was formally opened on Friday, the 13th of August with an address by Mrs. Elizabeth Amoah-Tettey, the Deputy Minister of Education. Amongst the dignitaries present were some high ranking government officials and education professionals from Nigeria and the Acting Secretary General of Ghana's Commission on UNESCO, Ms. Sylvia Lutterodt.
