Last month on Saturday, May 24, the National Africa Foundation launched its Africa Regional Offices in Ghana in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region. The venue was the Platinum Hotel at Ahwiaa Overseas. In attendance were six members of our partners in Sweden, MKFC/Stockholm College, led by   representatives of some educational institutions and other individuals. The District Chief Executive of the Mamponteng District, Alhaji Kwasi Yeboah sent a representative to deliver the keynote address.

On the following Sunday, May 25, MKFC/Stockholm College together with NAF hosted a conference at the Platinum Hotel where staff and students of eight institutions of higher learning in and around the Ashanti Region gathered to listen to speakers of MKFC/Stockholm College speak about their e-learning programs worldwide and what people in Africa can make out of these opportunities.

From May 28-30, MKFC/Stockholm College representatives and I moved to Accra to join our other partners from Germany www.oncampus.de at the 3rd EuroAfrica E-Learning Conference at the Accra Conference Center. On the first day of the conference, the executive director, Prince M. Obiri-Mainoo led two workshops with OnCampus of Germany and MKFC/Stockholm College of Sweden. His topics were Educational Technology and Teacher Education: The case of Ghana" and "E-Learning and Teacher Education in Ghana"
